Message from the CEO

The fall season is officially upon us, and at CLSMF, we have so much to be thankful for and celebrate. We have had a generous year of growth, enabling us to further our mission of equal access to justice for everyone in our community. With a new office in DeLand, an expansion of the CLSMF Helpline, major strides in our Medical-Legal Partnership programs, and multiple year grant funding for civil rights in housing, we have so much to be grateful for.

During this time of reflection and gratitude, I am thankful for the hard work of every staff member at CLSMF, their inordinate resolve to pursue justice for everyone in need and their bravery standing next to our clients during the most heartbreaking times a person experiences in their life, show incredible strength and dedication. CLSMF is equally grateful to every volunteer who gives their time, energy and talents – choosing to be proximate to our clients and courageously working to change lives. There are many veterans, children, seniors, survivors of domestic violence helped this year, whose gratitude can never fully be measured but for whom we know, their lives have been saved by CLSMF staff and volunteers.

We look forward to the new year with great anticipation. With resolve, courage and determination, we will realize our goals and again expect great things in 2019.

During this season, I hope that you will join us in our celebrations and be inspired to give hope and justice to our neighbors in need. When you support CLSMF, you directly impact the lives of individuals and families living in your community. There are many programs to fit your style of donation, from our monthly giving program that lets you round-up the change of everyday purchases to our volunteer programs that give you hands-on experience changing the lives of members in your community. Please take two minutes to review our programs in this newsletter and on our website and consider choosing, during this season of giving, to invest in a more just future for all Central Floridians.
