United Way and Brighthouse Networks honor volunteers

United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties and Brighthouse Networks held their 28th annual volunteers’ luncheon on Thursday, April 23 to recognize outstanding volunteers in the local community. CLSMF Pro Bono Attorney Jimmy Davis was the recipient of the Adult Volunteer of the Year award and CLSMF Board Member John Sullivan was the Senior Volunteer of the Year. The Daytona News-Journal featured the winners in a Friday, April 24 news article.

In addition to the UWVF award, CLSMF Pro Bono Attorney Jimmy Davis was selected  as the recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award, given by the Corporation for National and Community Service and signed by President Obama, “for recognition and appreciation for his commitment to strengthen our nation and communities through volunteer service.”
