Darryl Johnston

Darryl Johnston was born in Brooksville, Florida and graduated from Hernando High School. He is a seventh generation Floridian. After graduating from the University of Florida, he attended and graduated from Stetson University Law School. He started his legal career as a commercial litigation associate with a large Orlando law firm. In 1991 he returned to Hernando County and has continuously practiced law at Johnston and Sasser, P.A. Darryl handles real estate transactional and litigation cases, business transactional and litigation cases, land use and zoning law, and general civil litigation. He is also a certified mediator and is currently a member of the Fifth Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee.
He is married to Tammy, and they have two children, Caroline (16) and Crawford (6). He enjoys traveling, reading, University of Florida athletics, the North Carolina mountains, and once upon a time, he used to golf, but Darryl most enjoys time with his family.

The practice of law changes every year, but not always for the better. Today, technology creates demands on a lawyer’s time that used to be reserved for family and relaxation. Client deadlines are more time critical, and the ability to take time to fully digest a legal issue is not always available. However, the satisfaction in helping clients will never change. Providing pro bono legal services to those who cannot afford them is a responsibility and reward that will also never change.

David Sasser

David Sasser received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida, with honors in 1979. His practice includes residential and commercial real property transactions, title insurance and closings, estate planning and administration. He is a Florida Bar Certified Real Property Lawyer and a Certified Public Accountant (license inactive).

David is a past member of the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section Executive Council, Past member and Vice-Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Fifth Judicial Circuit . He has served as Past Chairman of the Hernando County Bar Association Pro Bono Committee and Past President of the Hernando County Bar Association.

In addition to his pro bono service, Mr. Sasser is active in his community and has served as Past Member of District Board of Trustees, Pasco-Hernando Community College; Past President of the Hernando County Chamber of Commerce; Past President of the Hernando County Unit of the American Cancer Society and Past Chairman of the Administrative Board of First United Methodist Church of Brooksville.
